My full first name is Willie. Not William, Willis, Willy, or the like. Willie. Just like my father.
I’ve been getting calls recently from a company that’s looking for a William Jackson. I spoke with someone last week, explained that they had the wrong number, and asked to be removed from their list. I get another call this week and instead of ignoring it, I decided to readdress the issue with them.
When I picked up the phone, I got a message letting me know that Company X was trying to get in touch with William Jackson and it prompted me to press 1 if I was William and 2 if I was not. I wanted to speak to a human about this, so I pressed 1.
I then waited several minutes for an agent as if I called them. Sigh.
When I finally spoke to the (seemingly unprepared) young lady about my predicament, I explained that I wasn’t who they were looking for.
She then asked me if I knew who William Jackson was (to help them locate him).
Unbelievable.

Srsly? I introduce myself as Will but yeah, I’m a Willie. This is amusing in light of how I thought your name was David :)
Yes, I knew your name is Willie and I know you have a sweet mama that pushed you to do the right thing in junior high so that you would be this successful now! I am super proud of you and everyone that checks out this company’s website needs to know that Willie Jackson is a guy who has integrity and an excellent work ethic.
